This illustration project explores themes of animals, nature, and playful character-led storytelling. The work is inspired by everyday encounters with wildlife, natural environments, and imagined narratives, blending observation with gentle humour and a sense of curiosity.

Through expressive characters and scene-based illustrations, the project celebrates connection — between humans and animals, between place and memory, and between imagination and the natural world.

The illustrations are created using a combination of ink, watercolour and mixed media, allowing for a balance between structure and spontaneity. Ink provides strong, graphic line work, while watercolour introduces softness, movement, and atmosphere. Mixed media elements add texture and depth, creating layered surfaces that reflect the playful, exploratory nature of the work.
