ABOUT

For Widdle and Grog, I completed both the digital front and back cover designs as well as a series of colouring pencil illustrations for the interior. My approach combined digital precision with the warmth and texture of traditional hand-drawn media. I began by developing initial sketches to establish the characters’ personalities and narrative tone, then refined these into finished illustrations using coloured pencil to achieve vibrancy and depth.
The covers were created digitally to ensure a clean, professional finish suitable for print and publication, while the inside illustrations maintained a more tactile, hand-rendered quality. This balance of digital and traditional techniques reflected the book’s playful yet heartfelt spirit.
The final result was a cohesive visual identity that brought the story to life, providing an engaging and imaginative reading experience that captured the charm of Widdle and Grog and complemented the author’s vision.
