Track ID: “Adverse” by Brecon

We spoke to Will, one half of Brecon to understand how “Adverse” was constructed…

“The intention for Adverse was to create a thunderously dark apocalyptic track that very much felt like the world was ending. The sparseness of the harmonic and melodic elements allows for rhythmical interplay between the drums, bass and samples leaving the abrasive and mechanical sound design to take centre stage. The main lead line, draws inspiration from early 90’s rave stabs, the type you would find slapped to the front of a magazine in a free sample CD and is a definitive nod to the early free party scene that was so pivotal to our formative years”.
