In a small Devon village called Salcombe, a carefully crafted gin was being developed with an ambition in mind – to bring a taste of the sea to the first gin distillery at sea.

The Salcombe Distilling Co. was born in 2014 and quickly garnered critical acclaim amongst gin industry stalwarts.

Cut to 2020 and Salcombe Gin was about to be launched onboard P&O Cruises' flagship liner, Iona.
Then the Covid-19 pandemic hit and the partnership plans were somewhat delayed.

Instead of gin, they began to produce hand sanitiser to help out with the cause.

Such is the life of an independent gin distillery.
This is the story of how Salcombe Distilling Co. creates its innovative gin flavours.
