Speaking about the lead image that defined the project, Ellie shares “As soon as I looked through the viewfinder, I knew their portrait would be an integral image to the project. I only took two frames; I knew I had it. They looked so comfortable and confident in the frame, the way the light fell on their faces, the blue sky complemented their outfits perfectly, and the breeze in her hair. Later, they told us they actually met when they were both in costume and fell in love instantly. After hearing this, it truly felt like all the pieces had slotted together.”⁠
