ABOUT
For "Select Milk dairy" Foster + Svensson designed packaging and labels for goat cheese products. Focus in this category was to create packaging with high aesthetics, sophisticated, yet to have minimal design. As such, it should be more visible among other competitor products on the store shelves, which creates visual noise due to saturated packaging design, colors and elements. Having cheese packaging which will be minimal and clean will lead towards more visibility among existing competitor products. Yet, we want to highlight that products are 100% natural.
Goat's milk is completely digested in 40 minutes, while the cow's takes about two and a half hours. The proteins of goat milk are easier to digest than cow’s milk protein and it’s more efficient absorption of amino acids. It is one of the healthiest dairy foods, and the chemical structure is very similar to mother's breast milk.
Until the beginning of WW II, Serbia had 1.8 million goats and this livestock branch was very developed. During 1954, the law prohibited the holding of goats and all of them had to be destroyed. France, the largest producer of goat milk products and the highest quality cheeses, today has over 1 million goats, while Serbia has only recently surpassed the number of 100.000. Yet this is more than enough to produce high quality products from goat milk like goat’s cheese.
