Client: Birmingham City Council — Filmmaking & Animation

From November 2024 for 1 year, I was contracted by Birmingham City Council to join their Talent and Learning team, producing a suite of film and animation content to support staff learning and development programmes.

My role encompassed the entire creative pipeline—from initial concept and screenplay writing to storyboarding, production planning, casting, direction, and final execution. I collaborated closely on scene, costume, and location design, drawing on my integrated skills in writing, filmmaking, sound design, and animation to deliver engaging and effective resources.

Key Projects Delivered:

Staff Interview Films: Documenting the impactful work of council employees across various departments.

Educational Content: Creating a bespoke film to teach the British Sign Language (BSL) alphabet.

Training Resources: Developing management training films and animated modules on autism and behavioural awareness.

Additionally, I partnered with the Council’s Communications team to film key live events, including FOUNDRYBUILD 2025, alongside other significant internal and public-facing engagements.

This contract represented a highly collaborative and rewarding filmmaking journey, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to the council's internal communication and educational goals.
