ABOUT
STOP THE PURPLE is a campaign created and produced by Studio Nuts for APAV, in partnership with the fashion brand Someone Said. The goal: to reclaim the colour purple — once associated with the bruises of violence — as a symbol of strength and empowerment. Centred around the message “Wear purple. Don’t let it mark you”, the campaign mobilized 13 influential women, national media, and institutions like FC Porto Women’s Team. It reached thousands across the country and culminated in a march on November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The movement raised thousands of euros for APAV, supporting hundreds of victims with legal and psychological assistance — and helped transform purple from a mark of pain into a colour of pride.
