ABOUT
The Plan for 136K campaign aims to address the pressing issue of youth homelessness in the UK. With an alarming number of young individuals seeking council support for safe housing, the campaign seeks to catalyse the creation of a nationwide strategy. Our role was to develop impactful campaign materials to elevate awareness and drive the conversation to parliament, making accessibility, clarity, and impact our guiding principles. Billboards and posters of this campaign were displayed in multiple UK cities, with notable locations such as Waterloo Station and Tottenham Court Road.
Our design strategy was rooted in creating a visual language that was striking, emotive, and overall delivered a clear message. We employed a bold red against a neutral palette to ensure high contrast and legibility, and used photography to further attract attention and humanise the issue. Choosing accessible fonts like Inter and Plus Jakarta Sans ensured clarity across all communications. The posters centred on a singular, impactful message, utilising graphic motifs to add dynamism and highlight urgency. For the toolkit and banners, we emphasised simplicity and consistency, integrating the campaign's logo and hashtag for cohesive branding. This approach ensured that each element of the campaign not only drew attention but also spurred understanding and action, making the critical issue of youth homelessness impossible to ignore.
