Peak Costs is a specialist UK legal costs firm that helps law firms manage, recover, and maximise the value of legal costs through expert advice, drafting, and strategic support.

We were brought in to help reposition Peak Costs with a more confident brand presence that better reflects its expertise and recent growth, through both a new identity and new digital experience.

The cost law space is heavily credibility-led, with many firms presenting themselves in similar ways (conservative branding, dense language, and minimal differentiation). Peak Costs needed to stand out in the sector without undermining trust and professionalism.

The challenge was to communicate authority and expertise while avoiding a cold or overly corporate tone, creating a brand and online experience that felt both specialist and approachable.

We developed a brand built around the idea of a “guiding force”, positioning Peak Costs as a steady, reliable partner in a complex landscape. This concept led to the creation of a compass-inspired motif, subtly reinforcing themes of direction, confidence, and clarity.

As trust and credibility are so important in this sector, we introduced a more human typographic approach and an evolved colour palette designed to feel modern but grounded. The visual system balanced professionalism with warmth, helping the brand feel more distinctive without losing credibility.

This thinking carried through into the design of their new website, which focused on clarity and usability. Content was structured around services and user intent, with a strong emphasis on scannability and hierarchy. The goal was to make complex legal expertise easier to navigate, ensuring visitors could quickly understand what Peak Costs offers and where value lies.

The rebrand marked a clear shift in how Peak Costs presents itself, establishing a distinctive and recognisable brand presence and elevating the firm from blending into its category to standing as a confident and clearly differentiated player.

Digitally, the redesigned website transformed the way Peak Costs expertise is communicated. By simplifying the structure and sharpening service narratives, prospects can quickly understand where Peak Costs adds value. We also introduced a dedicated careers section to position Peak Costs as an employer of choice, alongside a blog platform designed to showcase insight, expertise, and ongoing contribution to the sector.

Together, the brand and website established a stronger foundation for growth and better reflects the quality of their work and reputation. Their new digital presence successfully elevates them against their competitors and provides more powerful trust signals to their audience.

The result is a brand that not only stands apart visually, but communicates authority with greater clarity and confidence at every touchpoint.
