About me

I am a recent graduate in Media/Journalism from Sheffield Hallam University eager to obtain a permanent, full time position within print, broadcast or electronic media, or in a public relations role.

Having spent the majority of the conclusion of my degree focused on sports journalism and sports literature I feel that a position relating to sport would benefit me most. I have developed a lively writing style in a addition to an energetic approach to a variety of sports. Also, I am interested in developing my knowledge and skills surrounding other areas of media.

Completing a degree has allowed me to develop skills such as writing, IT, time-keeping and target setting. The level of commitment related to completing a degree has also enabled me to appreciate the necessity of enthusiasm within any activity undertaken - thus encouraging me to develop a career in this industry.

Undertaking a work placement as a PR Consultant for a student events company allowed me the freedom use my initiative when devising and conducting two PR campaigns, and encouraged me to apply knowledge acquired in a course module.

I hope to establish a career in the media, continually developing knowledge and skills, thus contributing to my personal target of becoming a well-rounded, competent individual.
