Stour Space is a charitable community business set up with a mission to utilise arts and culture as a tool for social change. Over the last decade Stour Space has provided much needed affordable studios to creative practitioners. It has also responded to vital community needs and designed activities to support various stakeholders within the neighbourhood.
Open 7 days a week, Stour Space has become a popular community hub and the only public facing building on Fish Island. It is one of only a few places open day and night in the community where different stakeholders from residents, creative practitioners, visitors, established businesses, children, developers and boaters can come together.
Stour Space supports and encourages bold artistic practices and projects that are driving social and cultural change, encouraging diversity and inclusion.
