The brief was to create a bespoke Christmas card for our clients, suppliers and friends. The direct mail piece needed to engage people with a sense of festive fun, demonstrate our creative thinking and be lovingly crafted – to best reflect us as designers.
As designers we indulged in our love of typography; creating a Victoriana type specimen booklet titled ‘The Font of All Christmas Knowledge’. Featuring four beautiful circa 1900 alphabets, the audience were invited to “find the hidden line from a famous Christmas carol” that’s concealed within them. The traditional colours, off-white Pop’Set Oyster paper and elegant foil blocking made for a characterful piece of print.
