About me

Having worked in events sales for over a year I now feel I am ready to take the next step in my career.

Since graduating from university with a Marketing & IT degree I have worked in two telesales roles. My first job was with the UK's leading consumer magazine publisher IPC Media. I was selling advertising space in Horse and Hound magazine. This gave me a great insight into how a large publishing house is run and how a magazine is produced.

My most recent job was with The Careers Group - University of London. I have been selling to some very high profile companies including Reuters, Baillie Gifford, PWC, Accenture and Bloomberg. Compared to my first job with IPC Media, this role has required a more consultative and thorough approach to the sales pitch. This also involved writing reports and discussing with each client how to present themselves and their brand at the events held by The Careers Group. As such I feel I have learnt a great deal and feel extremely confident in speaking to very high profile clients.

During my time with The Careers Group I had been in contact with a company called Frontier Conservation. I had applied to do some voluntary work in Ecuador and was working there in August and have been travelling until now.
