About me
Leveraging a wide range of training and work experience in commercial furniture and product design, along with positions in operations management, marketing, and teaching, I bring a strong set of perspectives on the detailed needs of production, as well as those of the contract client, and the end user. In combination with work experience which brings together human-factor solutions, research skills, and task coordination, I feel this insight positions me well to fulfil a quality-driven solution within an organisation.
I have built upon a study of architecture, history, and philosophy, which form the basis for my ongoing examination of the aesthetic, technical, and sociocultural aspects of design.
My inspirations happen through the interplay between new and traditional technologies, physical phenomena, and fresh aesthetic possibilities.
With over 15 years' experience of the platform, I have an advanced fluency in SolidWorks, as well as experience with a range of related software packages relevant to the technical design process.
Recently, I have applied this mix of experience to complex, multi-stakeholder projects with international scope. I continue to seek challenges which draw equally upon my creative, technical, and commercial awareness, while tapping into mentoring and leadership skills to advance the proficiency and cohesion within an in-house design/drawing team.
I am currently working as Senior Designer in a commercial context, providing solutions for projects ranging from large-scale installation projects to the development of new ranges of furniture pieces, from concept to production.
