ABOUT
LOVE V LAW is a documentary and social impact campaign exposing the hidden emotional, psychological and societal impact of prolonged family court conflict, coercive control, parental alienation allegations, and systemic failings across the UK family justice system.
The project was created to give a voice to parents, children and families who believe they have been silenced by a system operating largely behind closed doors. Through documentary storytelling, survivor testimony, social media campaigns and investigative journalism, the project aims to raise awareness around the long-term effects of family court trauma, child contact breakdown, domestic abuse allegations, mental health harm, and institutional accountability.
The campaign focuses on the human cost behind the statistics — including the emotional impact on children, parents and wider families — while encouraging open public discussion around reform, safeguarding and access to justice.
EXECUTION
LOVE V LAW was developed as a cross-platform social impact documentary campaign combining film production, investigative research, organic social media storytelling and community engagement.
The campaign utilised:
Documentary trailers and cinematic short-form content
Real testimony from affected parents and families
Motion graphics and awareness-led social posts
Organic community engagement across social media platforms
Public calls for story submissions using the hashtag #LovevLaw #ImHere #ParentalAlienation
Research and references linked to family court reform, domestic abuse policy, child welfare and mental health
The creative approach intentionally blended emotionally driven storytelling with investigative themes to make a complex and highly sensitive issue accessible to wider audiences. You're not alone.
The project also sought to challenge stigma around speaking publicly about family court trauma and child contact loss, while creating a space for constructive public dialogue, giving audiences encouragement to start speaking about their experiences and finally start to heal.
RESULTS
Over 1 million organic video views across social media platforms
More than 5,000 public comments and direct responses from affected individuals
Engagement from mothers, fathers, adult children, grandparents and professionals connected to the family justice system
Hundreds of direct messages and personal testimonies submitted to the campaign
Significant audience discussion around mental health, child welfare, domestic abuse policy and institutional accountability
Built an active online awareness movement around the hashtags #LoveVLaw. #FamilyCourts, #ParentalAlienation and #ImHere
The project continues to develop into a feature-length documentary and wider public awareness initiative focused on social reform and human impact
RESULTS
LOVE V LAW transformed private experiences often hidden behind legal secrecy into a public conversation around family separation, trauma, justice and safeguarding — giving visibility to mothers, fathers, relatives and now grown children who felt unheard for years.
