Aesthetics and Typography is a reading and visual research project. Six texts relating to aesthetics were read, dissected and analysed, these included: George Orwell's Politics and the English Language; Zadie Smith's Speaking in Tongues; Justin McGuirk's Craft Fetishism; Dejan Sudjic's T is for Taste; J K Huysman's Against Nature; and Pierre Bourdieu's Distinction: A Social Critique of the Judgement of Taste.
After reading and understanding the texts I visually responded to each piece focussing on how typography could carry a message or concept with each response being printed via Risograph.
