About me

I gave up my marketing career to follow my passion for languages in 2008, initially working in quality control and project management at the London office of a leading global language service provider.

Equipped with the necessary industry experience and insight and hungry for more, I decided to study for a Master in Translation with a focus on medical and audiovisual translation (subtitling, voiceover and dubbing), which I completed with Distinction in 2012.

To hone my linguistic skills (and to pay my bills while studying part-time at uni), I started working as a full-time translator in 2010.

It wasn't long until I realised that there was a growing market for translations with a twist, allowing me to combine my zest for marketing, branding and storytelling with my industry experience and my passion for languages.

And with growing demand for translation, transcreation and copywriting services in my own as well as other language pairs from an ever-increasing client base, I decided to set up my own small London-based agency business, Intertongue Communications Ltd, in 2013.

Both I and my company have since moved to Berlin.

Still working on the creative and linguistic side of things myself, I share my skills, industry insight and passion with like-minded language professionals and clients around the globe as Managing Director of my Berlin-based agency, Intertongue Communications (Germany) GmbH.

I've been instrumental in successfully creating and shaping the tone of voice and storytelling of various brands in a variety of markets, drawing my enthusiasm and creative inspiration from working with a multifaceted range of brands and industries which is just as diverse as my own interests.

What excites me the most about my job is to always explore new possibilities, dig deeper and help brands to tell their emotional stories to the world in the most creative, engaging and natural manner possible.
