ABOUT

Last September, we flew around the world to discuss all things speed with some of the top footballers in elite sport. Beyond the idea of 'just being fast', we delved into why tracking your max speed is a key sports science component within elite football.

As part of the campaign, we created a free 4-week speed program for players to download, launched a Project: Max Speed Leaderboard for our app users with top prizes for the winners, and created lots of educational content around why/how to develop your speed. We also brought our audience insights from top players including Harry Kane and Katie McCabe, as well as top coaches in the game. We challenged influencers to take part in our 4 week program to see if they could improve their speed.

Then, back in February, we partnered with Tonsser to bring player tracking to their Final Four UK tournament. Having monitored the players' data, we gathered the 4 fastest players and they took part in our Project Max Speed Challenge, with the winner awarded the opportunity to come with us to Munich where they would train directly with Harry Kane. During the campaign we also had activations from digital partners such as ESPN, GOAL, Copa 90, Arsenal FC to help magnify and elevate the Project Max Speed Message to a wider audience

16-year-old Reis Sodje from Birmingham training 1-2-1 hit an incredible 35.7 km/h over a 50m sprint (fyi, the fastest Premier League sprint last season was 37.12 km/h!) and won the opportunity to come with us to Munich for a personal session with Harry. Reis was starting his GCSE's the next day, but we made it happen and got him back in time for his exams.

Harry loved it. Was a bit of a dream come true for Reis. And we had a beautiful full-circle moment around Project: Max Speed to finish the campaign off nicely.
