ABOUT

The aim of the project was to improve the knowledge of the human ergonomics, experiment with the existing products and the use of them by different kind of people for producing a design which will be comfortable to use for not only the 95% of people, but also for the rest 5% of the population.

The product chosen to be re-designed was a small stool made by IKEA. The stool is usually chosen because of its' light weight and it allows users to save the space in their homes.
The final design was produced considering the ergonomic regulations of the seatings and the requirements of the users. The final design was tested using different ways, ex.: using humans body and experimenting with the movement of the bones of a human for discovering a perfect solution of the ergonomic chair.
