About us

Born in the middle of the 2009 recession, in a small office in Covent Garden, with no clients and just two members of staff, sqzd.’s aim was to create really cool live content for PR & marketing agencies with multi-skilled crew to make the most of our clients’ budgets.

Just a year later, we had outgrown our office and moved to the heart of Soho, where, for the next few years, we continued doing what we set out to do, and found that we were actually very good at it, and had developed a strong reputation for high quality work, and a warm, can-do attitude that kept our valued clients coming back.

By 2014, the growing demand for motion graphics had reached us, and we were creating 2D and 3D animations for a multitude of corporate clients who had realised the value of such content for certain communications.

In 2017, after outgrowing Soho, we moved to a cobbled mews just off leafy Russell Square, taking over a large open plan office that better suited our collaborative creative way of working, and an old stable next door that we converted into a soundproof video studio to expand our offering.

After a brief stint wfh, we now find ourselves just by the Old Street roundabout. Not quite Shoreditch (too hipster for us), but near enough.
