As part of the EMEA Flickr App relaunch campaign this B2C marketing campaign targeted the 18-34 year old female audience of Yahoo!’s Germany Lifestyle vertical. The goal was to give exposure to the Flickr app and drive hundreds of thousands of downloads. The propositions consisted of a bespoke competition microsite, on-line network inventory, celebrity announcements and ticket offers for Berlin Fashion week. The competition element ran over a 5 week period where participants were invited to download the Flickr app and upload their fashion styled picture to the microsite, and one winner would be chosen by the German fashionista Marie Nasemann.
The Flickr and Yahoo! branded microsite achieved welcoming CTRs to the vertical as well as delivering cross-traffic to the Flickr Berlin Fashion Week Group, which was created especially for this campaign.
