ABOUT

ALMAQAM is a cultural café located in Tataouine, Tunisia. It provides various services such as organizing concerts and karaoké, workshops and discussion events.

The word maqam signifies the place where music is played. Maqam literally means "station", on a melodic scale in this case. It also has the meaning of "high rank".
The logo was inspired by the shape of the disk, designed using an Arabic geometric typography to reflect the original Arabic style of the word Almaqam.
