With my little camera in hand I took the opportunity to walk the streets of downtown Los Angeles. Although never naive to street life my camera is small and hidden. I went about my curiosity very discreetly with a smile and a willingness to look directly at a human being and engage them in conversation.
"How’s business on this corner?"
"Not bad, but Friday & Saturday nights are pretty good. The rest of the week it's a struggle."
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“Monty. Can I take you picture?”
“Well awright now.”
And so it goes.
