ABOUT

Make a Mark offer a variety of workshops and challenges to assist not-for-profit organisations and general humanitarian projects with their brand and marketing needs. As part of their new global awareness challenge to help combat food insecurity, a trio of recipe cards have been created to help those who have a lack of access to food that contributes to a healthy lifestyle. In most cases low income houses aren’t receiving the proper nutrients to live a healthily and don’t want to eat what they are unfamiliar with, which can often result in a cycle of consuming junk food. Three healthy and simple recipes have been chosen that include lots of fruit and vegetables. The recipe cards, which are to be distributed in print and online formats, are illustrated to engage children in the kitchen, as well as their parents. Family friendly, the recipe cards are bright and appealing to build excitement around cooking together and trying new foods. The main ingredients are illustrated as well as labelled to build familiarity with ingredients users may not have tried before. Mark making textures and handwritten fonts are used to create an aesthetic that appeals to children, while the recipe is clear and easy to follow.
