About me

Hello!

My name is Sophie Hartshorn and I graduated from Birmingham City University in September with a first class degree in Visual Communication specializing in Photography and Moving Image; as a result of my final major project work I was also nominated by my tutors and the winner of the Photography & Moving image prize at the end of my final year. Although I chose Photography and Moving Image as my specialism for my second and third year of university, my final major project integrated not only these platforms, but illustration, graphic design and my personal passion- collage.

In addition to this, I have also worked/ undertaken over ten weeks work experience at Holborn Studios () over the past few years working closely with the studio assistants and helping out on a number of different shoots with many different photographers and clients. I have also been working at Topshop head office doing freelance graphic design work for their retail operations team for 6 weeks.

I am an extremely creative person and feel that my skill set within the creative bracket is wide and very varied with skills not only within Photography, but also within graphic design, moving image, illustration and visual merchandising. I spend my spare time creating work and am constantly designing and creating new work. Although I do not have 18 months experience due to my recent graduation from university, I feel that I could be perfect for this role and would absolutely love to be considered!
