ABOUT
Omnicor approached me to initially redesign their website and provide a social media strategy. The project has since been expanded to include a brand refresh, which has included: logo design, brochure design and the design of their client journals.
We started the design of their website by looking at their content first. They have a lot of dense content and I felt it would be difficult for the layman to understand what their offering was. I had the content professionally copy written before continuing with the design. My first step was to predict questions the user would ask and then lead them down a chain to the recommended product or service. This became the core navigation of the site, the more traditional navigation being relegated to a hamburger menu.
The site is coded to be responsive in HTML and Wordpress.
Regarding the branding, they had an identity that has been around for a number of years, so they were not willing to change things up too much. I have since updated their structure from 15 segments to just 4, allowing for more clarity within the organisation. I have also restructured the logo so it is more versatile across mediums.
Currently we are working on journals that are handed out to clients. These have been designed in InDesign for print and for digital handout. I worked on a set of icons to add a visual element to a very text-heavy project.
