An interactive VR experience created to support the release of Sky Atlantic’s second series of Britannia. The show is an anarchic drama that follows the Roman army as they return to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia, a mysterious land led by warrior women and mighty Druids who claim to channel the powerful forces of the underworld.

For the people
Pushing the boundaries of volumetric virtual production techniques, Britannia VR brings environment photogrammetry, volumetric video, and Unreal Engine together to stunning effect. With volumetric capture at its core, Britannia features real recordings of actors from the show, including Mackenzie Crook as Veran, and Liana Cornell as Ania.

An immersive experience
Be transported into a lost Celtic tribe held up on a beach two years after the Roman invasion. Choose to be immersed in a world of Druid magic and mysticism, or enter an intoxicating world of Roman imperialism and power.

A world of interaction
Immerse yourself in Britannia VR with a variety of interactions. Catch stunning glow worms and watch your hands be painted with runes. Burn an ancient effigy and hear the trees tremble with mystical wind in response. Dive into an underground lake and watch the water ripple around you.
