ABOUT

I was recommended to ACID by an existing client (thank you George!) who needed help after things went Pete Tong and an urgent deadline was looming. After being told it would be a simple, receive a template and insert the content job, I was soon to discover that there was no template and the 'design' was fundamentally a disaster. There was no grid structure or consistent visual language. Kerning, leading and baseline shift were... well, they weren't! Treading carefully, I briefly explained the benefits of using grids to organise content and help readers navigate the page, as well as crafting typography to give an easy, smooth – and pleasant – reading experience. I included a show-not-tell visual example of what the magazine layout could be like in comparison to the previous editions. I'm pleased to say that the client was delighted and what a pleasure it was to work for such a renowned and important organisation in the Design industry.
