ABOUT

Creation of new identity for a Doctors Surgery in Wales
From the original brief:
After much deliberation, we settled on Nant Dowlais Health Centre. Nant Dowlais, or Dowlais Brook, rises on the hills above Fairwater and Greenmeadow and flows down between them. This is relevant and attractive for many reasons; something small at its source with ancient origins in our community that feeds into, and helps to create, something far greater as the brook flows in the river and out to the Bristol Channel and on to the oceans beyond. We felt this links in to empowerment because there would be no oceans without the little brooks. Also, water is a symbol of life, health and prosperity which is ultimately what we are about. And with all of them please can we add the Welsh wording (to comply with the Welsh language act). So it reads “Canolfan Iechyd Nant Dowlais Health Centre”
