This was a concept piece designed to show Dimplex how a brand might break out of traditional product spec advertising an into content designed to show products in use beyond their expected home installation settings. We had let a Guildhall student borrow two Dimplex Optimyst Electric fireplaces to use in her live experience which was based in a studio setting and could not use real fire. Without the technology Dimplex provided her experience would be missing the most crucial element in her story. This was an excellent opportunity for Dimplex to showcase the impact their products could have on the experience of the end user and was part of a larger research project I was involved with regarding the nature and importance of fire and flame in peoples lives.
