About me
Simon is a highly experienced creative director/copywriter, working for agencies and directly with advertisers.
His career has included spells at JWT, Ogilvy, AMV BBDO, VCCP and Craik Jones. Over the five years that he was Creative Director at Craik Jones, the agency picked up over 100 creative awards, including Cannes, D&AD, Campaign, DMA (UK), DMA/Echo (US) and John Caples for work on Diageo, First Direct and Land Rover. He also featured in the Campaign list of "Top Ten DM Creative Directors" three times.
After Craik Jones, Simon co-founded independent integrated agency KBK, which attracted business from Nectar, the UK Government, Kew Gardens, and Imperial London Hotels.
He lectures at D&AD, IDM, DMA, Royal Mail, art colleges and universities; in 2012 he was External Examiner on the Visual Communications course at Birmingham City University. He is an Associate Member of D&AD, a member of the IDM Faculty of Speakers, a Trustee of the Graeme Robertson Trust, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He's been Chair of the DMA Creative Forum, and sat on the DMA Awards Committee.
