My final Master's project focuses on the close relationship of human beings and objects thought to be endowed with magical qualities. This collection focuses on the exploration of the concept of protection gained through the possession of one or several of these objects, commonly called "Amulets”. The will of this project is to understand the role of these objects, analysing their function and origins and show how, even coming from very different parts of the world, their symbolism managed to travel through time and countries to develop the same visual language, common to all different cultures. One of the key point of the project is the research behind the primordial symbolism of these objects, trying to discover and categorise the original role the history and the similarities between amulets proper of different cultures.
