‘Mark Wilson’ is a well-established pastry chef based in the UK and has just teamed up with a new marketing manager in the hope of raising his profile even more. After his hit TV series finished last year, he has been working hard on putting together a new selection of recipes for his favorite pastry-based dishes.

All the recipes have been finalised, and so he’s looking for a cover illustration for the book (‘Visions of Pastry”). He has a solid reputation and a popular name amongst pastry fans, and is expecting his book to become a huge success. He wants to work closely with a designer and has a few different ideas about possible directions for the artwork.

He would like something playful and illustrated that will entice potential pastry chefs to experiment. Focus on developing a combination of custom illustration and fun, playful lettering. After that, design the back cover, spine and internal design assets to include in and around the recipes. He is also keen to use hand-drawn lettering for the titles of each recipe, so keep this in mind when working on your design.
