ABOUT
Digital Illustration | Themed Art for Fundraising | Whimsical Visual Storytelling
For a children’s charity event, I was invited to create a series of Disney-inspired artworks to be sold and auctioned to help raise funds. I chose to reinterpret Alice in Wonderland, a timeless story that celebrates imagination, curiosity, and a sense of wonder, perfectly suited for a magical, child-focused cause.
Creative Direction:
Alice in Wonderland offered a rich universe of visual references, from iconic objects to eccentric characters. I focused on translating these into delicate, feminine illustrations that would feel whimsical, collectible, and full of nostalgic charm.
The series included:
• The White Rabbit’s pocket watch
• The “Drink Me” potion and “Eat Me” cake
• Mad Hatter’s hat, Queen of Hearts playing cards, Cheshire Cat, and more
Each piece featured a consistent blush-pink colour theme, layered over a smudged, dreamy background to evoke softness and whimsy. The approach was intentionally feminine and ethereal, appealing to both children and adult collectors alike.
Key Contributions:
• Conceptualised, illustrated and digitally finished a themed set of Alice in Wonderland artworks
• Developed a cohesive visual style through colour palette and background treatments
• Balanced commercial appeal with artistic storytelling for effective fundraising use
• Supported a children’s charity through creative contribution and design-for-good ethos
This project was a joyful opportunity to channel creativity for a cause, bringing to life a world where “nothing is impossible”, all while helping to make something truly meaningful possible for others.
