ABOUT

When cancer takes over a young woman's life, most of the world doesn't know how to talk to her about it. Friends go quiet. Doctors focus on the illness, not the person. Well-meaning strangers reach for platitudes because the truth is too uncomfortable to sit with. Not because they don't care. Because they've never lived it.

Isolation, awkward silences, performative positivity, the constant pressure to be "brave." For young women with cancer or chronic illness, the gap between being seen and being understood was enormous.

Cancer Chicks knew it couldn't speak like a charity, or a hospital, or anyone offering sympathy from the outside. It had to speak from within the community. So instead of asking people to feel sorry for its members, we built something they'd want to belong to. The Best Worst Club. A cultural club built on the one truth that mattered most: only those who've lived it know what to say.

We built an entire identity around that idea. A brand that looked aspirational, stylish and full of life, before revealing the reality underneath. Film, social, print and real-world touchpoints designed to meet young women exactly where they were. And a platform that turned lived experience into something visible, relatable and impossible to ignore. Because when the club feels worth joining, the truth inside it finally gets heard.
