I read that Windsor’s rough sleepers had reported being moved on and told to stay away from the castle ahead of Princess Eugenie’s wedding in 2018.
That got me thinking so I had a dig around and found some numbers.
£2m - the estimated cost to the public for policing the wedding.
£1426 - the cost to the public for successful intervention* for one rough sleeper.
£82m - the amount of public money given to the royal family in 2018 by the Treasury. *Finding permanent accommodation and support for 12wks.
