ABOUT

"Le meurtrier" is a short stop-motion film I worked on with my colleague. I came up with the storyline, concept art & character designs. He made the backgrounds, constructed the puppets' metal & foam skeletons. I created the puppets' clothing, clay bodies & costumes & the background props. We split half the animation & film work. I composited & edited the whole thing together in the end.

It was meant to be a silent film about 2 mimes who meet & fall in love, but tragedy strikes when the male mime's finger-guns accidentally kill his new beau. As a dark comedy, this made it stand out from the rest of the projects, most of which were abstract or slice of life stories.
