This mechanical scrap metal chick was an idea created from some Easter creative planning, thinking about working with other metallic surfaces in CGI yet moving away from the Automotive cars in back plates we’ve recently been tinkering away at.

We wanted to reincarnate this little chap in a scrapheap from a shoot off a railway line on the South coast. The backplate was shot and though an HDRI wasn’t captured, we could mimic some metallic reflections in post. The chick was artfully created by Alexandra – our chief CGI artist, from parts of a car from a previous project. Just goes to show what truly can be reincarnated in the world of 3DS max.
