Autodesk have some wonderful software but explaining exactly what much of it does can be a difficult task, explaining how that new software can embed itself into your existing workflow and thus make your life easier – a even more difficult task. So where to start.

Torpedo are an agency based out in the beautiful rolling hills of Oxfordshire. They approached us to collaborate on a new promo video piece to showcase Autodesk’s new AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Its primary function is to streamline building information modelling workflows – which essentially means improving the way civil engineers design, analyse and implement changes within Autodesk software.

The folk at Autodesk were to create a video that highlighted the key features of AutoCAD Civil 3D but were keen for the video to remain fast and humorous and not get bogged down in what could potentially be a very dense subject matter. Time to bang some creative heads together.

The guys at Autodesk and Torpedo worked together to formulate a script and storyboard while the guys here got to work on the production side of the project. A Recce of numerous office locations to set the stage was carried out by the Shadowplay production team, along with sourcing actors and models for the various roles.
