ABOUT
To design a label for coffee packaging that captures the essence and atmosphere described in the film and book "Eat, Pray, Love." The label should allow customers to take home a small part of the emotional experience they would feel if they were living in the house featured in the story.
Solution:
The goal was to preserve the aesthetics of the film while expressing it through modern design. Since Bali’s atmosphere is light and relaxed, I combined contour illustrations with an uneven background to maintain a sense of carelessness without overloading the composition.
Design Elements:
1. Aesthetic and Modern Design:
- The label incorporates contour illustrations that reflect the serene and relaxed ambiance of Bali.
- An uneven background ensures the design remains light and airy, avoiding an overly cluttered appearance.
2. Informational Clarity:
- On one side of the label, information about the coffee is neatly divided into sections, making it easy to read and understand.
- Coffee notes are illustrated, providing a visual representation that enhances the packaging’s appeal and encourages exploration.
3. Branding and Emotional Connection:
- The front side of the label prominently features the name "Eat Pray Love House" with an added phrase "& drink coffee," giving a playful and inviting twist to the title of the film.
- A quote from the movie is also included, encapsulating the film’s atmosphere and idea, further connecting the customer to the emotional journey portrayed in the story.
