ABOUT

Hunger and malnutrition is an endemic problem in several regions of Latin America, particularly in those that suffer, in addition to socio-economic vicissitudes, the severity posed by climate change.

I came to the Central American dry belt to document an aid program carried out by the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), which sought to offer development solutions to many families in one of the most unfavorable areas of the continent.

Target
The great challenge in this work, which for almost a month took me and the FAO team to travel town to town some of the most humble and abandoned corners of CA4 (Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala) was the power to record in images and testimonies, messages of hope from families that will demonstrate that with determination and collaborative work, it is possible to overcome the greatest difficulties, reaching common goals that leave great lessons.

Outcome
Energy, gratitude, enthusiasm and hope reflected in fifteen profound life stories was the result of this work recorded photographically in an intimate and sensitive way, plus a series of institutional videos that served to show the work carried out by FAO for 15 years in the entire region and that were used as instruments to open doors to new development programs.
