Seon's work
About Seon
To whom it may concern,
Having obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Stage and Media, along with a strong passion to work in the post-production field and a unique creative way of thinking, I feel I am an ideal candidate for a media company.
You can see from my CV that I have gained a wide range of both transferrable and specific skills, which strongly relate to media and video editing. Throughout my academic and professional careers I have been able to refine my skills in the following programmes, Final Cut, Adobe Premier, Illustrator and Adobe After Effects. I am competent in colour grading, colour correction, general editing of photographic images and short films, not only that, I also have great knowledge of sounds and music editing from my previous work on documentaries, music videos and short films.
From my extensive work I have developed a greater understanding in using different camera equipment, including lens range, focus pulling and working the depth of field to create a contrast between the sharp and unclear objects. The standard set up for main projects is three point lighting, however, I am also competent in creating a variety of more complex lighting set ups, for example, using a soft frontal light and a stronger back light (fill light and backlight) to create a dramatic effect.
I am so passionate about post-production that not only do I create and edit videos for employers', I also volunteer my time to a charity organisation, Human Aid, who email me requirements for short videos for fundraising or raising awareness, which I shoot and edit myself.
Working for your company would be more than just a job, it is an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving company. I am a great communicator and excellent team player, I have a can do attitude and I also have the drive to succeed.
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
