Comics are running for office; politicians are trying to be funny. Comedy is the populists’ secret weapon. Meet the cometicians.

These collages are about how the distinction between politics and stand-up comedy is blurring. Comedians are entering politics and doing very well at it (see below the examples from Ukraine, Italy, Guatemala and Iceland)

On the other hand, politicians are behaving more and more like stand-up comics. The most famous example is Trump; Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage.

So, the idea is that politics becoming more and more like a comedy show.
