About Seda
I am an independent director and writer-director based in Türkiye, working across visual storytelling, experimental cinema, animation, and commercial film concepts.
My approach to filmmaking is rooted in visual storytelling, atmosphere, rhythm, movement, and cinematic transitions. I am interested in creating original ideas that communicate through strong images and distinctive visual language.
My experimental short film Toward the Light, created entirely with a smartphone, was selected by international film festivals and became a finalist in the Best International Director category at the 2026 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF). It was also selected for screening at the Silenzio Festival in Portugal.
Alongside experimental filmmaking, I develop original narrative and animation projects, including an animated feature trilogy inspired by Quantum Time.
I am particularly interested in developing and directing original concepts for commercials, brand films, digital campaigns, and other visual projects. I approach commercial filmmaking from a director's perspective, looking for cinematic ideas that can connect a brand with an audience through story, atmosphere, movement, and visual impact.
I am open to international collaborations with producers, production companies, agencies, brands, and creative teams seeking distinctive visual storytelling and original film concepts.
