BRIEF
Design, engineer and develop a user-friendly and compact electric vehicle rapid charging station to achieve 20 - 30% worldwide market share.

SOLUTION
Contributing on industrial design (ID) and design engineering to package power electronics in a small volume, with total unit height <1.5m to negate UK on-street planning permissions. We ensured the novel form factor carried through from concept to production, with fully integrated touch-screen UI.

RESULT
This was a fun, fast-paced and demanding project, driven by aggressive cost and timescales by our client. I led the project from concept through to production, managing the client and internal design and development teams, being hands-on at all stages and implementing the product vision in Solidworks throughout detailed design, prototyping, manufacture and launch.

Initial UK roll-out in 2018 supported the launch of the new London TX Electric Taxi.
