ABOUT

Atopic dermatitis is more than a skin condition. In Spain, 4 out of 10 children who live with it experience bullying because of the appearance of their skin.

To make this invisible reality visible, LETI Pharma created Atopic Sculptures on Universal Children's Day: four child sculptures inspired by the real stories of children who had faced rejection, teasing and isolation.

Installed in a public park and accompanied by personal objects from each child's story, the sculptures invited passersby to react to them in the same way many children with atopic dermatitis are treated every day.

By turning public attention into a reflection of social stigma, Atopic Sculptures helped parents, teachers and children understand that the deepest impact of atopic dermatitis often goes far beyond the skin.
