Illustrations for RhinoShield — City Collection
Commissioned illustration · Product design · Global release

Commissioned by RhinoShield’s Creative team, the City Collection is a series of 12 illustrated phone cases celebrating cities around the world. Each design captures the spirit of its city through local landmarks, cultural symbols, colour palette and everyday detail - turned into a personal keepsake for visitors, locals, and travellers with a deep connection to place.

The collection spans Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Bangkok, Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul and Sydney - released simultaneously across all global RhinoShield websites.

Each illustration was researched and crafted to feel authentic to its city.
Highlights include:

· Chicago: The L, Marina City, Willis Tower, The Bean, deep dish pizza, a nod to the Chicago Bulls

· Taipei: A Formosan Black Bear, iconic blue and white slippers, Taipei 101, bubble tea, xiao long baos, the national butterfly Papilio maraho

· Tokyo : Mount Fuji, Senso-ji Kaminarimon Gate, Shibuya Crossing, a lucky cat, a crane, a vending machine

· Seoul: N Seoul Tower, neon signs, tteokbokki, soju, a karaoke mic

· New York: Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, a yellow taxi, the Anthora coffee cup, steaming manhole covers

· London: Big Ben, a red phone box, Brick Lane, and a classic London fox

· Bangkok: River boats, iconic temple architecture and national symbols

· Sydney: The Opera House, beach life, flat whites and sunshine

· Paris: Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, macarons, a love lock, a vintage metro sign

· Berlin: The Berlin Wall, yellow U-Bahn, Berliner Fernsehturm, Ampelmännchen

· Amsterdam: Canal houses, tulips, Central Station, a bicycle and local food

· Madrid: Historic balconies, Puerta del Sol, the Fountain of Cibeles, churros, the traditional Chotis dance

Additional illustrations were created for the AquaStand range – RhinoShield's steel water bottles with a magnetic MagSafe lid that doubles as a phone stand. Two designs were produced: a Taipei-themed wrap illustration and a global World Skyline design featuring landmarks from across the collection.

This project was such a joy to work on, working collaboratively with the Rhinoshield creative team. Starting with their brief, I further researching the details of a city - hunting for the symbols, colours and quirks that make each place unique – we then brought them together into a cohesive, collectible series.
