To brief was to design the new brand mark for Design Guild Mark, to be used alongside The Furniture Makers’ Company logo and in all future brand communications. The design must reflect the individual brand essence while being appropriate for each target audience.

The solution was to create simple yet modern branding which was inspired by combining the first initial of the words ‘Design’ and ‘Guild’ to create a brand mark which aimed to act as a platform to promote individual makers in the growing luxury market. This was carried through into brand guidelines, brochure design and print and digital marketing, as well as a physical award for Design Guild winners.
