The Brief

I was tasked with creating a 2 page spread for an article about mountaineering that would be placed in the Leaders quarterly journal. I was supplied with all imagery and the article.

The Concept

The challenge within this brief was to follow the clients strict brand guidelines but still ensure the article had its own identity. Another challenge I face when producing this piece was the length of the article and allow this to breathe in a small space.

The Solution

My solution was to create a layout that mirrored the content leaving the text space to breathe (as the article was about mountaineering – an activity where you can be miles from the nearest human) and I also took into consideration the pace of the article and set the text in such a way that mirrored the tone.
